Banksia ashbyi

A small tree or large shrub banksia which can vary considerably in its size and shape, depending on location. Found along the coast from Exmouth to Geraldton and further inland areas. Typically grows in red, yellow or white sands; sand dunes and sand plains but can adapt to clay loam and sand loam. Beautiful golden orange flowers appear from spring-summer. Plant in a sunny, well-drained position for best results.
