Banksia grandis

One of WA’s most iconic Banksia species, this large shrub grows 4-8 metres high and 3-5 metres wide, and produces impressive cream-yellow flower spikes up to 40cm long, with even larger leaves. Preferring sandy, well drained soil, this Banksia can also be found in coastal sites and will tolerate some clay, providing drainage is adequate. Best in full sun or part shade.
