Banksia formosa (was Dryandra)

A drought-tolerant, medium-large shrub growing 1-3 metres high and 1-2 metres wide in sun and part shade. This beautiful WA plant produces large yellow-orange flowers in spring, best grows in areas which have a dry summer and responds well to pruning. Will tolerate poor soils but prefers well drained sandy soil.
