Eucalyptus camaldulensis


Probably one of the best known Australian trees. A beautiful, widely spreading, thick trunked, large tree, with multi-coloured bark (usually grey, off-white and brown)and mainly smooth. The River Red Gum varies considerably through out it’s wide distribution, being a pure white bark in the dry inland. Leaves are a narrow grey-green,sometimes bluish, and is common along watercourses throughout Australia. Very adaptable even in salty environs.
