Eucalyptus forrestiana

A highly decorative, small gum with smooth, grey bark and thick, glossy green leaves. Over summer and through autumn, bright red buds open to yellow flowers which attract nectar-feeding birds. The flowers are followed by ornamental, pear-shaped pods. A smaller growing gumtree for the garden, useful for screening, windbreaks, street planting and parks. Will grow in sandplains and near salt-lakes.
