Eucalyptus orbifolia

A small to medium tree becoming popular in floristry for it’s oval-shaped, grey green leaves. An interesting and rare feature of this Eucalypt is the bark habit, which continuously peels and curls away to reveal lighter bark underneath. The result is a multicoloured trunk ranging from red-brown-cream-grey colours which can make the plant a very ideal feature tree. Yellow-cream flowers in winter and spring add to it’s attractive habit and appearance. Grows in sand and sunny areas, as it is native to the Goldfields of WA and central Australia. Drought tolerant and tolerant of only light frost.
