An evergreen medium to tall WA tree found commonly throughout the goldfields and wheatbelt. It has smooth bark, changing from grey-cream in winter to pink-salmon colours in summer and autumn. Very useful for farm planting as windbreaks, shelter and used as timber. Prefers well-drained soil, will tolerate drought, lime, salt and light frost. White-cream flowers appear in winter and spring.
