A small shrub/ground cover with interesting brown foliage which deepens in the light of the sun. Its habit makes it an ideal plant for embankments, a feature spilling over retaining walls or in container gardens. A light prune after flowering will encourage a dense, groundcover shape. Red-green flowers appear in from late winter through to early summer. Will grow in wet soils but does best in moist, well-drained soils in part shade. Somewhat drought resistant.
