A tall erect shrub that can grow to 10m but is often smaller in the Perth surrounds.The grey leaves are broad and tend to curve toward the sun. The cylindrical flowers are borne in clusters in late autumn/winter, and often on the old wood. The buds are usually pink and cream, opening to cream and then purplish. A fast growing bird-attractive plant that is adaptable to most soil types and aspects. Prefers an open and sunny position for best results. Tolerate to medium frosts.
