Hemiandra pungens prostrate purple


Attractive groundcover with burgundy-tipped, sharply pointed leaves. Tubular, mauve flowers with slightly darker speckles in the throat are borne in profusion. Prefers well-drained soil. Tolerant of alkaline soils, dry periods and coastal conditions. Tip prune to keep plant dense and to encourage flowering. White flowering variety Hemiandra pungens alba is also available.
