A pretty, low-maintenance native that produces edible green and red berries which are rich in antioxidants. It has a spreading habit resembling more a groundcover than a shrub, excellent for suppressing weeds. White flowers appear in spring, shortly followed by the berries in summer/autumn. Will grow in coastal areas and can be found among the coastal sand dunes of Victoria. Drought, frost and lime tolerant; prefers well-drained soil in a sunny position.
